Prepare Intel 6 Core Desktop Processor

After the last few years favor dual core processors and four cores on the market for desktop and servers, Intel is currently preparing six-core processors. However, these processors will not be released for mainstream computers. For a while, the processor will be designed for desktop and server class. Chips that are used Westmere based architecture that provides better performance than previous generations and better power saving.
The processor contains 1.17 billion transistors and has 12 MB cache, the process of production using 32-nanometer technology as now used in the processor core I3, I5, and i7. Although the same basic architecture, the six-core processor will not be equipped with integrated graphics chipset, so users must still have a separate VGA card in the computer. Intel six-core processor targeted at the desktop with Gulftown code name for the gamer market. These processors will be sold a category with Core i7 and technically can be used with the same motherboard.
For servers, this processor will replace the six-core processors were released earlier in 2008 with the code name Dunnington. The name will be the same brand name, ie, Xeon, although the performance is much better. Special to the server, Westmere encryption technology is also equipped with the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a new, good for support the data security server.
